My pick for the best of interior design this year? Gwyneth Paltrow’s living room.
To be clear, I’m hardly a Gwyneth stan. I do read goop sometimes–but sometimes it’s a hate read. I generally enjoy the longer pieces! But enough with the vitamins already, my goodness gracious.
However, there’s a reason goop has always been so popular, which has everything to do with Gwyneth’s taste. That’s why I can’t be a full-on hater. I have to give credit where credit is due.
And this year, I’m giving a ton of design credit to her enviable living room.
The pink marble! The Rick Owens! The coffee table. It’s all just so eclectic and good, and somehow, despite being pink, it’s definitely not too Barbie (a difficult task at times).
However, the price tag is exactly what you think it will be. So I got inspired to pick out some dupes to give you the look for less. (Waaaaay less).
My Picks
A sleek little marble table adds visual weight.
Love the blush-pink curtains & this linen version should do the trick.
Pink marble artwork recalls the pink onyx bar in Gwyneth’s home.
Don’t forget the multi-fixture pendant for that playful modern look. These Edison bulbs also look great at night!
Any modern white print would work but I went with this one that vaguely reminds me of Hilma af Klint.
I went for a more traditional choice than Gwyneth but any neutral gray sofa is perfect & will let everything else shine.
I opted for a burnt sienna accent chair because the pink ones I found were too bubblegum.
This sculptural brass coffee table looks great even with nothing on it.
A modern take on a stripe in gray grounds the room & doesn’t take away from the eclectic pieces.
When these Ganni ballet flats came out, I know I wasn’t the only who’s fashion-loving heart did a little pitter patter. The slightly-squared off pointed toe! The buckle! The perfect balance between girly and tough. Truly what shoe dreams are made of. To be fair, the original Ganni’s are not that expensive in designer shoe…
Love her or hate her, you have to admit that Kim Kardashian has won the clothing brand game. Skims is everywhere–a bonafide success. But also–you must admit–it’s on the pricey side as far as shapewear goes. I finally saw Skims in person only in November for the first time. And I have to say it…
Tomboy Femme is a trend that first caught my eye over on TikTok. And what a catch! Because it truly compliments my own sense of style. I love to be girly. But not too much. And I also love to be practical. Since I live in Europe and walk everywhere, comfort is a must. I’m…
