In case you’ve been living under a rock, silver is trending in big way right now.
Back in September, Beyonce made the call: dress in silver if you’re coming to see me this month. (Her birthday month!) And whatever Queen B wants, Queen B gets. Stores started quickly selling out of silver as fans got ready to show support.
Sadly, I was not part of the Beyonce audience this year. But you must admit, the girl knows what she’s talking about. Silver has been trending for a minute now. Everything sparkly, metallic, or liquid is perfect for elevating your basics or putting you in a party mood.
To me, metallics are an eternal classic. If you simply swap out a basic black top for something in silver foil, you’ve already made yourself stand out in the crowd. Whether you go for a sprinkle of silver or a whole damn outfit (which, BTW, is a look I really love), this is a trend that will carry you well beyond the December party season and into the new year.
Trying nail art is forever on my to do list! This futuristic version is exactly my jam. (From Instagram)
I also love a classic chrome nail. These are dipped for editorial effect but the plain nails look great with absolutely everything.
Simple shapes are best to let the silver do all the talking. Love this embossed croc top!
A little silver party bag will get a lot more use than you think! The perfect way to elevate any look (for a party or not).
You definitely don’t have to go short & mini with silver. This long silver skirt would be so comfy yet cool at house parties or dinners out.
Norma Kamali is so good at that sexy but not over-the-top look. I love this metallic foil asymmetrical top is the perfect example.
A great example of simple but sexy! If this were plain black, it would also be great but the silver makes it stand out.
Silver wide-leg jeans look so cool. But you should definitely go for the wide leg here, not anything remotely skinny.
I love the futuristic look of this pantolette. Not so sure I’d be able to walk in them myself, but beauty is pain as they say.
This distressed look silver top is a bit more casual than the other looks. But it also looks extremely comfortable: like a t-shirt with a bit more oomph.
Tiffany’s classic Elsa Peretti bone cuff fits this trend perfectly AND it’ll be a great addition to your jewelry collection for years to come.
Loving these chunky silver rings! Add a few to create your own ring party
Tomboy Femme is a trend that first caught my eye over on TikTok. And what a catch! Because it truly compliments my own sense of style. I love to be girly. But not too much. And I also love to be practical. Since I live in Europe and walk everywhere, comfort is a must. I’m…
Curious about denim trends for spring 2024? Denim is a classic of course. However, we can all use a few key new pieces to keep things feeling fresh. Here are my top picks to liven up your denim wardrobe this spring. Baggy Jeans Baggy jeans continue to reign supreme from our winter looks. They are…
Love her or hate her, you have to admit that Kim Kardashian has won the clothing brand game. Skims is everywhere–a bonafide success. But also–you must admit–it’s on the pricey side as far as shapewear goes. I finally saw Skims in person only in November for the first time. And I have to say it…
When these Ganni ballet flats came out, I know I wasn’t the only who’s fashion-loving heart did a little pitter patter. The slightly-squared off pointed toe! The buckle! The perfect balance between girly and tough. Truly what shoe dreams are made of. To be fair, the original Ganni’s are not that expensive in designer shoe…
You might have noticed a feminine shift in fashion recently. She’s posting herself in pink ribbons on Instagram, and wearing silky slips on Pinterest. She’s wearing lacy tights and Mary Janes at the cafe. So who is she? The girly coquette look is everything right now. Image from here Coquette Definition The Oxford Dictionary defines…
